Who watched The Blue Rose last night?
I did, and I must say that I am hooked.
I love Linda (Siobhan Marshall’s character). She’s head strong and I find her very funny. Jane (Antonia Prebble) is yet to really impress me, but I really like how Rachel Lang and James Griffin have made completely new characters, and that S and A have acted them to perfection. I wasn’t sure how it was going to be, considering the fact that the show was marketed so heavily with Outrageous Fortune, but I have always liked Rachel and James as a writing team, as they are so clever, particularly in the OF episode The King, The King’s To Blame. I also enjoy their humour. But the show is nothing like OF, but in a really good way. It’s so nice seeing Loretta and Pascalle on tv again, albeit in a very different form. I can’t wait for next week.

Hello boys and girls I just wanted to say that because it’s now December it’s nearly CHRISTMAS TIME and while the rest of the world is putting on their socks and coats we’re here chilling in the sun but (for me at least) it can be easy to feel left out because so much of Christmas culture revolves around the winter weather. BUT HAVE NO FEAR MY FELLOW OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE FANS because on the eve of Christmas Eve I am planning on uploading wait for it… THE OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE FEATURE LENGTH CHRISTMAS SPECIAL onto some sort of video host (most likely Vimeo) and I would absolutely love it if we could all watch it together on Christmas Eve and have discussions even though it most likely isn’t the first time any of us have watched, it may be the first time we’ve seen it for a while - I know I haven’t seen it since last year! Anyhoodles I just wanted to tell you now so that we have lots of time to prepare :) I’m going to assume that the chances of TV3 screening it are rather slim but even if they are I will still put it up, and the reason I’m putting it up later is so there’s less chance of it being taken down. But please tell me what you think and if you’re going to be watching. Thank you, that is all xoxo

I’m just watching Slings and Arrows again, and I’d never noticed it before, but there’s a bit where Grandpa goes to Pascalle, who he thinks is Rita, “It’s a raid, hide the krugerrands”
Top marks to OF for continuity.

Yeah I felt the same way about ol’ Gazza until at Kasey and Munter’s wedding when he says to Cheryl “need a lift?” I don’t know why, I just think that was really nice of him to say
I completely agree with you, Anon. Jethro behaved so immaturely with Judd, and I’ve bitched about it here and here. What’s more, is that Judd never brought it up again, so he did it out of kindness, not to try and win his attention. I heart Wayne
I wonder if maybe it’s because she didn’t like the way Pascalle was behaving in preparation for Linda’s arrival. But it doesn’t really make sense, because Linda said Pascalle was full of it, and when Pam was saying that shit about Van to her she was all “you talk about my son, you talk about me”, shouldn’t that same rule apply to her other children?
Confession requested by anon.
