Wayne was Ted’s best man, and Wayne named his son after Ted. I feel like people forget just how close they really were, and you’re right, it was really sad when they stopped having their scenes together. But I did really like how they ended in the last episode.

Basically Ted is an amazing character and Frank Whitten was a superb actor. Everything about Ted, from his twitching fingers to his sniff was done so incredibly well, no one can compare.

Wayne: Thanks for that Ted
Ted: I haven’t finished yet. I might be going away for a very long time, but there are a few things in my life that mean something. And you haven’t turned out to be such a bad bastard. So it would be my honour and privilege to break my bail conditions and go with you to the funeral parlour.

I really like the father-son love/hate relationship that they have, as it provides so much humour and also tears. Frank and Kirk portrayed their characters so well, and even at the end when they had their beef there was still something there.
I’m pretty sure we didn’t, but by the looks of the last scene of 3x22 (Where The Offense Is, Let The Great Axe Fall), it looks like Wolf blackmailed Gary or said something rather threatening or similar, which is why Gary bloody Savage had buggered off by the time season 4 started. As far as I know, it was a body. I think the last we heard of it was after Ted stole the digger to dig up said driveway, but he was unsuccessful. If anyone knows, could you please bring us out of the dark?
