Okay, so watching the series again... I realise that all TV shows have continuity issues but for the most part with OF, I can ignore them... Except for the Rita age issue. Grandpa says in the ep about Loretta's 16th that at his 16th, he and Rita first had sex... and then in the Christmas special he says Rita was 10 years younger than him. Every time he says it I'm like "BUT THEN SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN SIX!"

OMG I KNOW! I’ve noticed other ones as well, like Gary’s age (in one episode he was born in 1969, in another he was born in 1971 or something like that). It was also said that the twins were 6 years older than Loretta, and Pascalle was three years older than Loretta, but then Cheryl said that she was looking after three kids under three and sick as a dog with the forth one. There’s also the thing with the krugerrands, which I made a post on here about, because Grandpa told Loretta who he thought was Rita to hide them, but Ted didn’t know Rita had them, although that could be explained with Ted’s deranged mental state There were a few others, I actually wrote them down last year but then I got rid of it because I thought it was lame haha but yes omg

Well, when you look at the facts, no one knew where Jethro was, Jethro has often played Van in multiple situations that also included taking the virginity of Aurora. Jethro is an amazingly smart character and he can easily switch into Van because he knows who Van is, his thoughts and how he’d deal with things like that. But because Sheree was drunk and had been trying to get closer to Van, her judgement was impaired.

Also, their own father couldn’t tell them apart at the time so, I can’t really blame her.

I’m not denying that Jethro isn’t an evil mastermind, and all your points are valid, like the fact that she was drunk and that not even Wolf could tell who it was. I made this photo ages ago and it’s been sitting in my drafts, so that’s why it comes across as a bit harsh. This ‘confession’ is based on the aftermaths of the night of conception, once Van and Sheree started seeing each other, so just things like the fact that Van didn’t remember any of it and that the sex with Jethro (with the pulling of the hair and other strange and quite possible misogynistic moves) would have been very different to the sex she had with Van. I like to think that most people would at least be at least a litte bit suspicious if a guy with an evil twin brother couldn’t remember the sex that they had one night that would have been very different to all the other times you’ve had sex. Also, I feel it’s important for me to say that this is not me getting in a argument with you. The last thing I want is anyone on this blog to feel like I’m fighting with them. I’m just explaining what I was thinking when I made this xx

I did, and I must say that I am hooked.

I love Linda (Siobhan Marshall’s character). She’s head strong and I find her very funny. Jane (Antonia Prebble) is yet to really impress me, but I really like how Rachel Lang and James Griffin have made completely new characters, and that S and A have acted them to perfection. I wasn’t sure how it was going to be, considering the fact that the show was marketed so heavily with Outrageous Fortune, but I have always liked Rachel and James as a writing team, as they are so clever, particularly in the OF episode The King, The King’s To Blame. I also enjoy their humour. But the show is nothing like OF, but in a really good way. It’s so nice seeing Loretta and Pascalle on tv again, albeit in a very different form. I can’t wait for next week.

I love the site. This is the first TV show I've ever been addicted to. I'm in Southern California and was watching it on Netflix (approx 10 times through the whole the series). Thanks a lot Leslie! I too reaped the benefits on Outrageous Fortune on Netflix when I lived in London. It’s a real shame that they’ve removed them, but never fear. Here is a link to a streaming website. I’m not sure of the piracy laws in California, but I know that you can download the entire series on a certain website ;) but anyway thanks so much for writing in, and it’s great to know that a little Kiwi show has viewers across the world :)
