On the South Pacific Pictures website they say that the series will be set to “a backdrop of social and economic upheaval”, which hopefully will include Maori political issues! And if it offends people because it’s bringing up Maori issues that they believe are in the past and not worthy of being talked about these days, then they are responding the wrong way.
Thank you kayajohande for the confession!
Anonymous said: Can I just say how much I loved the house? And the show but the house kinda made that show I think. And I love how almost every season started with some sort of police raid.
The house definitely makes the show! Everything about it just works :) And I agree, the raids were great :) xx
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I’ve finally made a navigation page, so it’s easier to find posts according to character and season. I’ve only set links to the major characters, however every post has relevant tags.
ALSO, when the time comes, I am interested in posting confessions for the West Side Story. So if you have thoughts when it comes out definitely send them in and I will make them, as well as posting some of my own :)
LETS TALK ABOUT WEST SIDE STORY! I trust that Rachel and James will write a killer series, but I do hope that Antonia gets cast as Rita because no one else could play her. What does everyone else think?
Bringing this back because IT IS HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!
OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE PREQUEL ANNOUNCED
"Legendary safecracker and criminal Ted West and his wife, Rita, are back as central characters of West Side Story.
The historical drama is set in 1970s Auckland, amid social and economic upheaval.
Outrageous Fortune creators James Griffin and Rachel Lang were currently writing the script for the prequel, South Pacific Pictures said. Casting was yet to be confirmed, and the show would go into production in October.”
South Pacific Pictures Chief Executive, Kelly Martin adds: “Ten years ago – almost to the day - I recall the excitement at TV3 when the first series of Outrageous Fortune was green lit and it was a thrill to watch that show grow to become both beloved and acclaimed. Everyone at SPP is looking forward to taking fans back to where it all began - actually… to before it all began!”
I know I’m a bit late in sharing the news but OH MY GOD this is amazing
Who else is so excited?? :) xx
